BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Bulent Kabak presently working as ​lecturer in the Hitit University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Food Engineering, Turkey. He was a Postdoctoral fellow at European Commission Joint Research Center- IRMM, Belgium. He has membership in scientific committees. He has published many scientific articles in peer reviewed journals.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Bulent Kabak’s research interests involve:
-Determination of mycotoxins in foods and feeds
-Validation, confirmation, and implementation of routine of official and alternative analytical methods;
-Development of new analytical methods for identification and detection of toxins;
-Production of survey data for assessment of consumers exposure to mycotoxins (risk assessment);
-Assessment of the exposure of various population to food contaminants;
-Fate and stability of toxins in food/feed chain and along processing of food/feed;
-Development of mycotoxin decontamination strategies;
-Fungal isolation from food and feed samples;
-Determination of pesticides in foods;
-Exposure to pesticide residues from food;
-HPLC analysis
-Risk assessment
