Dr. Manfred Eggersdorfer is working as a Professor in the Department of Healthy Ageing at University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), Netherlands. He studied chemistry at the Technical University Munich and receives his PhD in organic chemistry in the field of synthesis and characterization of unusual amino acid. He holds the chair for Healthy Ageing at the University Medical Center Groningen (NL) and is responsible for Nutrition Science & Advocacy at DSM Nutritional Products.
Dr. Manfred Eggersdorfer is active member of the Advisory Board of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, the Strategy Board of the Institute of Food Science University Hamburg, and affiliate of various other organizations. He is author of numerous publications in the fields of vitamins, innovation in nutritional ingredients. He is also acting as reviewer and associate editor for a variety of journals.
