    BIOGRAPHY:

    Dr. Robert A Sikorski is currently a member of the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Maryland. He is an Anesthesiologist in the section of Trauma Anesthesiology at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland. I trained at the Robert Wood Johnson- New Jersey Medical School Department of Anesthesiology and continued my specialty training in Cardiac Anesthesiology at Deborah Heart Lung in Brown’s Mills, New Jersey. He is currently boarded in peri-operative Echocardiography. He continued his career as a cardiac anesthesiologist and chief of a private practice group of cardiac anesthesiologists in New Jersey before coming to the University of Maryland. His current interests in research include trauma resuscitation, viscoelastic monitoring, the effects of the inflammatory response on coagulation, goal directed therapy in critically ill surgical patient as well as the pre-hospital care of the trauma patient. He is active as a pre-hospital instructor for the Maryland State Police Aviation Command.
